I'm sure that there are many clever things that I could be writing, but it is Friday after 9pm, after a long week and I feel tired. My eyes - tired. My brain - tired. Deep down into my bones - tired.
So, rather then being witty and writing anything lengthy, I'm just going to pat myself on the back for managing to make Marie Helene's Apple Cake this week as part of the French Friday's With Dorie.
Very homey. Not sure if it is my favorite cake ever, but it is very simple to throw together and is a nice comfortable cake to have a slice of.
And, I was lucky enough the past weekend to get to go to an Open House for some friends' new business. Yay Santosha Center! It was great to get to celebrate that with them, and see what a cool space they managed to find. Since it was a wellness center, I did feel obligated to bring Vegan Gluten Free cookies. Which I think came out okay.
