Birthday Cupcakes

And before I forget, I did manage to make some birthday cupcakes for one of my co-workers.  Who of course wasn't at work on their birthday.

Anyways, they were plain vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream...which is no indication of their recipient who I wouldn't categorize as vanilla in any way.  Sadly, while the recipe is normally a winner, I was not bowled over by the outcome this time around.

The cupcakes were quite good in spite of the fact that they were one day old when I received mine. I was impressed that you hand-colored those sprinkles. Everything from scratch!

There's a funny story about these cupcakes. So, since the "birthday boy" (read: slacker) was not present on the day that the cupcakes arrived, I was given an extra cupcake to take home to Mr. Nonny Nu. (Oh, and Roy is crazy if he thinks the cupcakes were only MMD.) It just so happens that it was also my Kash's birthday. I brought the cupcake home and set it on the kitchen counter. I turned my back for one second to get some milk out of the refrigerator, and when I turned back to the cupcake, Kash was licking the buttercream frosting.

@chels I know what you mean, its hard to find good help these days. People now days just don't have the work ethic they used to have. I mean consider whoever wrote this post, they must have been working hard to write that good and it took a good bit of their time I am sure. I work with people who couldn't write like this if they tried, and getting them to try is hard enough as it is.
